Canberra's 1,034 venues are read and drafted by AI working from each venue's own material, then checked against that material. It never rates, never ranks and never works from recall — the model only sees what the venue itself published.
What we do not do: we do not visit every venue, we do not have owner confirmation for listings unless a listing says so, and we do not present a compiled listing as a review. Where a listing has been checked in person or confirmed by the venue, it will say so with a date.
We don't invent facts
We only publish what we can source. Weekend hours are the specific weak point in this city: they vary more than people expect and are the thing readers most often write in to correct. Where we're unsure, we say nothing rather than publishing a time someone might rely on.
Sourcing & attribution
Our information comes from a mix of sources, including:
- The venue's own website and menu, which here often carries function and group booking detail
- Google Places for location, hours and rating volume, not for editorial text
- Ticketing platforms for events: Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Moshtix, Meetup and AllEvents
- Reader corrections, usually about weekend hours, which vary more here than people expect

The Spot Score, in plain language
