Goodberry’s is a dessert-focused creamery with a Canberra connection dating back to 1998, when its first Australian store opened in Erindale. The Franklin shop, at 127/3 Clare Burton Crescent, opened in 2024, bringing the brand to the Gungahlin area. It is part of a small Canberra group that also includes stores in Belconnen and Erindale.

The creamery’s point of difference is its approach to making dessert. Goodberry’s says its recipe is prepared from scratch and made fresh at each store, using milk, eggs, cream, pure cane sugar and honey. It does not use artificial flavours, chemical fillers or stabilisers. Production takes place in-house, with batches made throughout the day and specialised equipment designed by the business to control how the dessert is prepared and served.

The result is a dense, creamy custard, which the business attributes to using less air in the preparation process. While the website does not provide a full menu of named offerings, it presents Goodberry’s as a straightforward option for fresh dessert rather than a café with a broad savoury offering. The Franklin store is open seven days a week from 11am to 10pm, with later opening from midday on public holidays. Orders can be placed online for collection, while delivery is available from the Franklin store through DoorDash and Uber Eats, subject to a limited delivery menu. That makes it suitable for a casual after-dinner stop, a family dessert run or an easy treat ordered at home.
