Midnight Bar

Midnight Bar is a Braddon venue for seasonal drinks, relaxed food and evenings that can stretch well beyond after-work catch-ups. Its menu changes with the seasons, with a selection of international and local wines, signature cocktails and locally brewed lager alongside small and large plates. The food is described simply: familiar-style offerings prepared with care rather than an oversized or overly formal approach.

The drinks list is the main focus. The bar’s seasonal approach gives the menu a sense of movement, while the signature cocktails provide a point of difference for anyone looking beyond wine or beer. During Margarita May, the cocktail selection expands into sweet tropical combinations, herbaceous flavours and bolder margaritas, with the promotion running throughout May. The venue also offers daily Golden Hour from 4–6pm, featuring selected wine, Bentspoke Brewing Co. Ale and a bartender’s cocktail, with bar snacks available to match.

Located in the heart of Canberra’s cultural hub, Midnight Bar has a vibrant but inviting setting suited to a casual night out. The venue includes a modern alfresco lounge designed to be used throughout the year, and its warm afternoon light adds to the atmosphere. On Friday and Saturday evenings, Live in the Lounge brings local musical talent to the space, with performances scheduled across the late afternoon and early evening.

There is plenty here for groups as well as smaller catch-ups. Midnight Bar hosts social and corporate functions for up to 300 guests, with private event spaces available for weddings and post-wedding gatherings. Groups can also book cocktail-making classes led by the venue’s mixologist, learning to prepare a classic cocktail and a Midnight Bar signature, with an arrival drink, deli platters and a prize included. Food and drinks are served from 3pm until late, Monday to Sunday, making the venue suitable for an early drink, a casual meal or a longer evening in Braddon.
