Reverie

Reverie offers a different kind of wellness experience in Civic, Canberra: a private, contactless space that can be accessed around the clock through its booking and access app. Rather than moving between shared facilities or waiting rooms, each booking gives you private use of a dedicated suite, with towels, water and treatment amenities provided. Sessions are self-guided, with written instructions in the suite and online visual guides available to help you use the equipment. The space is autonomous, although support is available through Reverie Assist and emergency buzzers are installed in every room.

Its treatments are built around recovery, rest, skin care and personal downtime. The Reverie Sauna combines infrared heat, chromotherapy, red light and LED wavelengths, and can be booked on its own or as part of Contrast Therapy with the premium cedar and steel ice bath. Dry Float offers a water-free version of a float experience, using weightless support alongside LED and sound therapy. For skin-focused sessions, the multi-wavelength LED treatment uses four wavelengths at once and is designed for concerns including acne, pigmentation, ageing and sensitive skin. There is also a private Automated Tanning Booth, with a choice of 12 shades and an optional skincare primer.

Reverie suits people who want flexibility and privacy, whether that means fitting in a session before work, taking time out alone or building regular wellness into a weekly routine. Sauna and Contrast Therapy bookings can be shared with a friend, while other treatments are intended to be private and do not allow guests. Memberships are available alongside single sessions, so visitors can try a treatment before committing to an ongoing plan. The website also offers complimentary or paid wellness consultations, including telehealth treatment planning and practitioner referrals, with an in-person studio tour available for those who want help choosing a session.

The venue was created by Lexi Bannister and Cassandra Smith. Bannister brings more than 16 years in hairdressing and a broader interest in personal care, while Smith is a qualified skin therapist with advanced training in dermal science, cosmetic chemistry, massage and somatic therapies. Her experience running medical aesthetics clinics, together with her own experience of chronic pain and burnout, helped shape Reverie’s focus on restoration and accessible self-care. The space periodically hosts health, wellness and beauty practitioners, including specialists in holistic skincare, regenerative health, positive ageing and beauty treatments.
