UC Hub - UCLivex Music Venue

UC Hub - UCLivex Music Venue brings live music and other performance events to Building 1 at the University of Canberra in Belconnen. It is the more intimate counterpart to the larger UC Refectory, giving audiences a closer connection to performers without losing the energy of a dedicated event space. The programme covers live gigs, DJ nights, comedy sets and a range of other events, with upcoming listings showing a mix of touring artists, tribute shows and comedy performances.

The Hub can accommodate up to 500 people standing or 275 seated, with layouts that can be adjusted to suit the event. Its equipment includes a full PA, LED screen and in-house technical support, helping deliver clear sound and lighting across different types of performances. The venue is generally set up for standing audiences, although limited bar stools and seating may be available at the back. That makes it a practical choice for shows where atmosphere and audience proximity are central to the experience.

UCLivex also presents events at the UC Refectory, Canberra’s largest indoor standing venue, and has a history that includes Stonefest, which the venue says has brought major Australian acts to Canberra for more than 20 years. Artists named in the venue’s history include Spacey Jane, The Rubens, Lime Cordiale and The Amity Affliction. Alongside established touring acts, UCLivex supports local and emerging performers through live music sessions, including solo acoustic sets and small groups connected with the University of Canberra community.

For visitors heading to a show, the UC Hub is on Level A of Building 1, with the recommended entry from Kirinari Street via Ginninderra Drive. Public parking is available in areas marked with a green P, accessed via College Street. The venue has accessible toilets, accessible parking options and accepts Companion Cards for one carer per paid ticket holder when arranged before the event. Event age restrictions vary, so check the individual listing or ticketing information; official UCLivex tickets are sold through Moshtix. The venue does not offer pass-outs during events, and food, drinks other than a sealed bottle of water, glass and metal containers are not permitted inside.
